University Day, first held May 10, 1961, marks the day North Texas State College became North Texas State University. We celebrate earning out university status with free food, activities, and music! Over 55 campus departments and student organizations, and 20 local sponsors will be in attendance to distribute information and giveaways. A picnic lunch will be served, and is free with a current UNT ID. Festivities will also take place at the Discovery Park campus from 11:00am-1:00pm in the DP Hallway.

For the 6th year, the annual Flag Parade will precede University Day. The parade starts at 11:00am at Marquis Hall, and ends on the Library Mall. The official University Day ceremony will start at 11:30am, and will include a welcome by President Smatresk; a historical proclamation by the Mayor of Denton; and music by the pep band.

Please contact Student Activities at 940-565-3807 at least 7 days prior to request special accommodations.
