BioDiscovery Institute Seminar: Dr. Thaddeus Ezeji

Monday, April 23, 2018 - 16:00
Life Science Building A106 3:00 p.m.

The Department of Biological Sciences and The BioDiscovery Institute are pleased to welcome Dr. Thaddeus Ezeji to UNT's BioDiscovery Institute for addressing important fundamental and applied questions in the synthesis and development of bio-based products for agriculture, materials engineering, bioenergy and/or health benefits. In his seminar, Dr. Ezeji will discuss, among other things, his efforts in synthetic biology and metabolic engineering to entice microorganisms to catalyze foreign or vastly improve indigenous biosynthetic reactions. Dr. Ezeji is currently an Associate Professor at OSU, and is well funded from a diversity of sources.

His seminar will be Monday, April 23 at 3:00 PM, and is titled "Recruiting bioprocess design and metabolic engineering strategies to enhance production of biofuels and 'bio-chemicals' from lignocellulosic biomass."
