BioDiscovery Institute Seminar: Dr. Mauricio Antunes

The Department of Biological Sciences and The BioDiscovery Institute are pleased to welcome Dr. Mauricio Antunes to UNT's BioDiscovery Institute for addressing important fundamental and applied questions in the synthesis and development of bio-based products for agriculture, materials engineering, bioenergy and/or health benefits. In his seminar, Dr. Antunes will discuss, among other things, his efforts in synthetic biology to for high value compounds in plants. Dr. Antunes recently had a large DARPA grant approved for funding and has co-authored successful grants with ARPAe and ONR.

His seminar will be Thursday April 26 at 3:00 PM, and is titled "Engineering Complex Traits in Plants Using Synthetic Biology Approaches."
